There’s definitely a need to get things done at an almost breakneck speed, which is very worrying when the end result is bound to be no where near as good. Interesting what you said about your classmate – I know people who have said the exact same things.

I agree with your thoughts above, and I believe in general, this race for information and decision-making in our society is a result of many things – technology and globalization among other things.

I remember one of our classmates was telling us how she can’t watch slow movies anymore, because she lost her attention easily, I notice how people get fidgety at silence, slow speech, documentary or dialogues – because we’re so accustomed to the news (and life in general) rushing us by every minute.

There is a memorable quote in the movie “The Last Kiss” which I love, “you gotta remember to breath or you’ll die”.

In retrospect, your post reminds me of “Slow Movement”, are you familiar with it?
